Viet Nam, Canada lift all-around co-operation

HA NOI (VNS) — The Vietnamese Party, State and people will always treasure and nurture comprehensive co-operation with Canada in the interests of the two peoples and for the sake of global peace, stability and development.

These sentiments were announced by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu in Ha Noi yesterday while receiving the Canada-Viet Nam Friendship Parliamentary Group and Canadian businesses led by Deputy Speaker of the Canadian House of Commons Barry Devolin.

The Vietnamese host also praised the group for its remarkable contributions to tightening bilateral co-operation and promoting two-way trade between the two countries.

For his part, the Canadian guest underlined that the friendship between Viet Nam and Canada have been incessantly fostered and advanced in every sphere over the past few years.

He suggested both nations continue expanding their work together in trade, agriculture, education, labour and high technology. — VNS
