HA NOI (VNS)— Vietnam News Agency (VNA) general director Nguyen Duc Loi has asked chiefs of Vietnamese diplomatic representative offices abroad to closely work with and create favourable conditions for the agency's correspondents to fulfill their tasks.
Loi made the statement yesterday during a working session with newly accredited ambassadors and consuls-general during the working term of 2013-16. VNA wished to continue receiving effective co-operation from Vietnamese representative offices by supplying information from countries where the agency had yet to establish bureaus, he said.
He called on the diplomats to assist the 30 VNA bureaus abroad in promoting the agency's foreign news service.
On behalf of the diplomats, Ambassador to Canada To Anh Dung pledged close co-ordination and favourable conditions for VNA's overseas bureaus, contributing to the joint success of the foreign activities. — VNS
