BEIJING (VNS)— A Communist Party of Viet Nam delegation led by Ngo Van Du, member of the Politburo and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, arrived in China on Tuesday for a working visit.
The visit was made at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
During the last two days, Du, who is also chairman of the Central Inspection Committee, had a working session with Wang Qishan, member of the Politburo Standing Central Committee Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
He also met with a delegation of the Chinese Communist Party led by Zhao Hongzhu, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
The two sides informed each other about the current state of their countries and parties and discussed measures to strengthen their friendly and co-operative relations.
Both sides emphasised the importance of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and China and pledged to work together to strengthen the close ties between the two countries based on the general agreements reached by their high-ranking leaders. — VNS
