HA NOI (VNS)— Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh and Slovakian State Secretary of Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Peter Burian have agreed to increase bilateral cooperation in the defence industry.
During their meeting yesterday, Peter Burian said his country was willing to supply Viet Nam with mine detection and clearance equipment, flight simulation training systems, and other products.
The two sides valued the fine traditional ties between their governments, peoples and armed forces. They also spoke highly of efforts from both sides to step up their defence cooperation in recent years.
Earlier the same day, Vinh and Peter Burian co-chaired a forum for Vietnamese and Slovakian businesses involved in the defence industry. — VNS
