HA NOI (VNS)— A delegation of the Nicaraguan Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) has been touring Viet Nam aiming to boost bilateral relations.
In his interview with the Vietnam News Agency, FSLN's Foreign Relations Secretary Jacinto Suarez, who is also Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Nicaragua's National Assembly, said that he saw a lot of prospects for co-operation.
"Viet Nam is more technologically advanced, while Nicaragua possesses large amounts of fertile land," he noted.
The Nicaragua delegation's visit also aims to enhance the ties between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Nicaraguan party.
During their visit to Viet Nam from April 2-6, the FSLN officials held talks with a CPV delegation headed by Hoang Binh Quan, Head of the CPV Central Committee's Commission for External Relations.
The delegation was received by Le Hong Anh, Political Bureau member and permanent member of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee, who has also worked with the National Assembly Committee for External Affairs. — VNS
