HA NOI (VNS)— The Central Anti-Corruption Steering Committee convened for the second time in Ha Noi yesterday, headed by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

During the meeting, Party Central Committee member Nguyen Ba Thanh, head of its Internal Affairs Commission and permanent deputy head of the steering committee, announced drafted working regulations, task assignments and key programmes for 2013.

This year, the committee will focus on dealing with cases of corruption and educating the public about its work.

Trong praised the Party Central Committee's Internal Affairs Commission for working hard to prepare the draft regulations. He urged the commission to gather feedback from the steering committee about how the regulations could be improved to best fight corruption and wastefulness while remaining in line with the Party's statutes, the amended Law on Anti-Corruption and other relevant legal documents. — VNS
