HA NOI (VNS)— Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received Swedish Minister for Justice Beatrice Ask yesterday during her working visit to Viet Nam.
Dung spoke highly of the outcome of his guest's talks with Public Security Minister Tran Dai Quang and called her visit to Viet Nam a practical contribution to bolstering the multifaceted ties between the two countries.
Emphasising the fine development of the bilateral relations in all fields, Dung affirmed that Viet Nam planned to work with Sweden to bring the two nations' ties to a new height, especially in the fields of trade and investment, ODA, justice and crime prevention.
The PM also asked Sweden to assist Viet Nam in training staff, provide technical equipment for crime prevention and continue creating favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Sweden.
Minister Ask informed the PM that she had signed a cooperation agreement on crime prevention during her talks with Minister Quang.
She affirmed that the Swedish Ministry of Justice pledged to cooperate with Viet Nam's Public Security Ministry as well as relevant agencies to effectively implement cooperation in the fields the two sides had agreed upon. — VNS
