FRANKFURT(VNS) — National Assembly chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung has told Germany's business leaders that Viet Nam is sharing innovations with them and improving the investment environment for German enterprises, especially in technology.

Yesterday in Frankfurt, Hung met with the executives of Germany's top companies, including Schaffler AG, Bilfinger Berger SE, Basf and Wirten Group.

Viet Nam's top legislator suggested they should make more efforts to boost investment and co-operation with enterprises in Viet Nam.

But he also emphasised that the strategic relationship between Viet Nam and Germany has progressed in all fields.

He said Germany is one of Viet Nam's biggest trading partners in the European Union. The two countries' trade turnover reached almost US$6 billion last year.

Also yesterday, Hung and his delegation met with Vietnamese people and consulate officials in Frankfurt.

He affirmed that the Party and State's policy of great national solidarity always helps Vietnamese people living abroad to build a stable life and integrate into their new environment while mobilising the nation's culture.

Hung suggested that the Vietnamese living in Germany should contribute their opinions to the draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution and the draft of the amended Land law.

Consul-General Truong Xuan Thanh said Vietnamese people in Frankfurt always support the Party and the Government's policies, as well as regularly raising funds for charities. —VNS
