Argentina President kicks off VN visit to celebrate 40-year ties

HA NOI (VNS)— The president of Argentina, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, begins her official four-day visit to Viet Nam today.

The visit, made at the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang, occurs as the two countries celebrate their 40th year of diplomatic relations.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Nguyen Van Dao expressed hope that the visit would increase co-operation in agriculture, bio-technology, mining and rubber production. — VNS
