HA NOI (VNS)— Viet Nam will gladly help improve the competency of staff at the Lao Supreme People's Court, President Truong Tan Sang said at a reception in Ha Noi yesterday for Chief Judge of the Lao Supreme People's Court Khamphanh Sitthidampha during his working visit to the capital.

The President suggested that the Supreme People's Courts of Viet Nam and Laos work together to train personnel.

Praising the recent co-operation efforts between the two courts, Sang affirmed that the cooperation programmes implemented and documents signed have significantly contributed to boosting the special friendship between the two Parties, States and peoples.

Chief Judge Khamphanh expressed his thanks to Viet Nam's Party and State for providing assistance in training Lao judges and court staff.

In 2013, the Lao court sector will further cement cooperation with its Vietnamese counterpart, strengthening the special friendship and solidarity between the neighbours, said the Chief Judge. — VNS
