HA NOI (VNS) – Dinh The Huynh, a member of Viet Nam's Politburo and Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam's Central Committee (CPVCC), hosted a reception in Ha Noi yesterday for Matthias Hohn, Federal General Secretary of Germany's Left Party (Die Linke).

Huynh, who is also head of the CPVCC's Commission for Popularisation and Education declared that the Vietnamese Party and State will always attach significance to the friendship and multifaceted co-operation with Germany, and consider the country one of Vietnam's leading partners in Europe.

He expressed his hope the two Parties will continue exchanging information and aiding one another with party building in the common interest of the two peoples, and for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

Hohn confirmed that the Left Party supports a long strategic partnership between the two countries in the future. He outlined his hopes that his party can work with the CPV to foster bilateral co-operation in the fields that Viet Nam deems important and in which Germany has experience. — VNS
