HA NOI (VNS)— Japan will always value the strategic partnership with Viet Nam and continue assisting the country during its industrialisation and modernisation.
Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Akitaka Saiki made the statement at a meeting with Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh yesterday.
Saiki said the Strategic Partnership Dialogue, the Viet Nam-Japan Cooperation Committee and other dialogue mechanisms between the ministries and departments of both countries played an important role in strengthening bilateral ties in a comprehensive and effective manner.
At the Viet Nam-Japan Strategic Partnership Dialogue the same day, Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son and Saiki shared views on the issues of common interest, including foreign policies, national security and defence policies, as well as regional and international matters.
They agreed to hold the subsequent dialogue in Tokyo next year. — VNS
