HA NOI (VNS)— Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung arrives today in Phnom Penh to attend the 21st ASEAN Summit, being hosted this year by Cambodia.
At the summit, regional leaders are expected to sign the Phnom Penh Declaration and adopt the ASEAN Human Rights Declaration and several other significant documents regulating regional co-operation. These will include a declaration on the establishment of the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Centre (ARMAC) and a Plan of Action to Implement the Bali Concord III.
This year's summit is also expected to advance the ongoing process of building the ASEAN Community, increasing regional connectivity and solidarity and broadening relations among member states and with other major partners. — VNS
