Panama President on official visit to nation

HA NOI — President of the Republic of Panama Ricardo Martinelli and his wife arrived in Ha Noi yesterday, starting an official visit to Viet Nam from October 24-27.

The visit is being made at the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang.

Martinelli has been serving as the 49th President of Panama since 2009.

Viet Nam and Panama established diplomatic ties in 1975. — VNS
