Bulgaria discusses cooperation model

HA NOI (VNS)- Both Viet Nam and Bulgaria expressed hopes for a boost in relations during talks between Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan and his Bulgarian counterpart Simeon Dyankov in Ha Noi.

Nhan spoke highly of Dyankov and his working sessions with the Vietnamese ministers of National Defence, Finance, Education and Training and Culture, Sports and Tourism.

He said that Viet Nam-Bulgaria co-operation has been deepened after agreements on several projects in various fields.

Viet Nam has high hopes for a new economic co-operation model with Bulgaria, a joint initiative which will create momentum for more effective bilateral trade and investment, he said. The new model will boost exports of semi-processed products from Viet Nam to Bulgaria, and then the European market.

The Deputy PM said Bulgaria would continue to work closely with Viet Nam to finalise the agreement this year.

The two nations also discussed plans to increase cultural exchange during the meeting between the Bulgarian guest and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh.

Bulgaria will organise a series of events in 2013 to celebrate Viet Nam culture week, including exhibitions on Viet Nam's ceramics and traditional folk arts. — VNS
