Closer economic links with Bulgaria on the agenda

HA NOI (VNS)— Viet Nam always attached importance to strengthening friendship and comprehensive co-operation with nations in Central and Eastern Europe, including Bulgaria.

Minister of Finance Vuong Dinh Hue made the statement at a meeting with Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Simeon Dyankov yesterday.

Hue said Viet Nam was keen to forge a closer relationship with Bulgaria in the fields of finance and economics.

The two ministers discussed issues of common concern, including the public debt crisis in Europe. They also mentioned the macroeconomic situation in both countries and plans for closer links between the two ministries.

Dyankov said he was delighted at the development in co-operative ties between the two countries, expressing his hope that Viet Nam's Ministry of Finance would serve as a bridge to promote bilateral co-operation in all fields.

He also confirmed that Bulgaria would create the right conditions for more co-operation in economics, trade and investment.-VNS
