VN attends Bangladeshi Communist congress

NEW DELHI (VNS)— A delegation of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) led by Nguyen Huy Tang, deputy head of the CPV Central Committee's Commission for External Relations, attended the 10th Congress of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) in the capital city of Dahka from October 11-13.

At a reception for the Vietnamese delegation, CPB President Manjurul Ahsan Khan and General Secretary Mujahidul Islam Selim said they hoped the two Parties would further promote the traditional friendship and co-operation and threw their support behind the development of multifaceted ties between the two countries.

During the event, the Vietnamese delegates met with their foreign counterparts from Russia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and other representatives of the ruling Awami League and the Workers' Party of Bangladesh.

Last week the Vietnamese delegation visited India and met with leaders of the Communist Party of India (CPI) and the CPI-Marxist group. — VNS
