VN strengthens ties with Cuba

HA NOI (VNS)— Viet Nam will continue to cooperate with Cuba, developing the fraternal solidarity between the two nations.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made this affirmation at a reception for visiting Vice President of the Cuban Council of Ministers Marino Murillo Jorge in Ha Noi yesterday.

Phuc said he was pleased with the achievements of the Cuban people, and that the Vietnamese Government would work towards implementing agreements the two countries had reached.

He suggested that the two governments seek new ways to cooperate, such as strengthening mutual support at regional and international forums.

Marino affirmed that the Cuban people wish to learn from Viet Nam's experience.

He expressed hope that Viet Nam would support Cuba's agricultural development. — VNS
