VN, Hungary to boost co-operation

HA NOI (VNS)— Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has affirmed Viet Nam would continue its consistent policy of co-operating effectively with Hungary in all fields.

At a reception for newly-appointed Hungarian Ambassador to Ha Noi Eszter Torda yesterday, PM Dung said Viet Nam and Hungary boast a lot of potential to assist each other in economics, trade, investment, and education and training for mutual development.

He expressed his willingness to support Hungary in increasing its co-operation with other ASEAN member countries and said that he hopes Hungary would return the favour by helping Viet Nam work together with other European Union countries and recognise its market economy.

He also suggested the two countries work closely together at regional and international forums.

Torda highlighted Hungary's foreign policy of promoting co-operation with Southeast Asian countries, especially Viet Nam.

She pledged to do her utmost to boost multifaceted relations between the two countries. — VNS
