HA NOI (VNS)— Viet Nam and New Zealand have agreed to strengthen co-operation in the near future, including naval affairs, search and rescue, fire prevention and human resources training.
The agreement was reached by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Viet Nam People's Army, Lieut. Gen. Vo Van Tuan and Paul Sinclair, Head of the International Co-operation Department under the Ministry of Defence of New Zealand, at their meeting in Ha Noi yesterday.
The two sides affirmed Viet Nam and New Zealand have seen the comprehensive development of ties over recent years, including the exchange of delegations and personnel training in defence. — VNS
