Japan shares knowhow on stability, development

HA NOI (VNS)— A workshop on using the constitution for stability and development was held in Ha Noi yesterday.

It was organised by the Law Committee of the National Assembly of Viet Nam, the Editorial Board on drafting constitutional amendments and the Japan International Co-operation Agency.

Chairman of the Law Committee, Phan Trung Ly, said the event offered a chance to study constitutions and their role in developing any country.

He said constitutional amendments were of great importance in every country and had to be carried out carefully, strictly and scientifically.

Representatives from Japan shared experiences in law making and constitutional building, focusing on the significance of the constitution, human rights, state apparatus, and the relation between the legislative, executive and judiciary bodies and the local authorities.

Japanese Ambassador to Viet Nam, Yasuaki Tanizaki, said his country would continue to share experiences with Viet Nam. — VNS
