HA NOI — President Truong Tan Sang has said that the ongoing official visit by Ukrainian Defence Minister Salamatin Dmitry Albertovich will result in a stronger relationship between the two countries.
The President praised the increase in high-level political meetings with Ukraine while hosting a reception for the visiting minister in Ha Noi yesterday.
He said that these discussions would facilitate improved bilateral cooperation in politics, diplomacy, economics and trade.
Minister Albertovich stated that his country's leaders attached a great deal of importance to consolidating their traditional relationship and hoped to work more with Viet Nam.
The minister informed his host of the outcomes of talks held with leaders of Viet Nam's Defence Ministry. He confirmed that Ukraine was eager to share its experiences and understanding on defence issues with Viet Nam, and he highlighted the discussions and agreements that were reached. — VNS
