Update: September, 11/2012 - 09:38

HA NOI (VNS)— Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan received Director of UNESCO's World Heritage Centre Kishore Rao in Ha Noi yesterday.

He said he appreciated the close co-operation between the centre and Viet Nam UNESCO National Committee.

Nhan also thanked Rao for recommending international experts to help Viet Nam seek World Heritage titles for Trang An Tourism Complex in northern Ninh Binh Province and Cat Ba Archipelago in Hai Phong City.

The Deputy PM also asked the centre to further support Viet Nam in terms of expertise and finance in drafting legal documents and improving awareness about heritage conservation.

Rao said he believed Viet Nam would do well in its efforts to protect tangible and non-tangible UNESCO-recognised cultural heritage sites. — VNS
