HA NOI — Viet Nam and Cambodia have exchanged delegations at all levels to share legislative and inspection experiences as well as supporting each other at multilateral forums, noted National Assembly Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son.
At a reception for the Chairman of the Cambodian Senate's Committee on Finance, Banking and Audit in Ha Noi yesterday, Son underscored the significant role of the two countries' legislative bodies in creating a legal framework for the development of bilateral investment cooperation to match up to both sides' potentials and desires.
For his part, Chea Cheth said he hopes Viet Nam will further assist Cambodia in various domains.
The same day, Chea Cheth had a meeting with Head of the Vietnamese NA's Economic Committee Nguyen Van Giau who underlined the close relationship among the three Indochinese countries in general and between Viet Nam and Cambodia in particular.
The Cambodian guest said he hopes Viet Nam will assist Cambodia in implementing oil and gas exploitation projects at sea and building legal frameworks for these activities, as Viet Nam boasts significant experience in tax management and oil and gas exploitation in the continental shelf. — VNS
