HA NOI — National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung received outgoing ambassadors from the Czech Republic, France and Singapore at separate occasions in Ha Noi yesterday.
At a reception given to Czech Ambassador Michal Kral, he said the Vietnamese National Assembly and people would do their best to develop the relationship and co-operation with the Czech Republic.
In reply, Czech ambassador Michal Kral said the Czech Republic was willing to share experiences with the Vietnamese National Assembly in law building and supervision activities.
At a reception for Singaporean ambassador Simon Wong Wie Kuen, Hung said that the friendship and special co-operation with Singapore was in the interests of the two nations and for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
He proposed both countries co-ordinate closely in implementing agreements, elevating the relationship to a strategic partnership.
Ambassador Simon Wong replied that he was happy that the two countries agreed on principles to promote their relations to the level of strategic partnership. — VNS
