Condolence sent to Russia over heavy flood losses

HA NOI — President Truong Tan Sang has sent condolence to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin over the heavy human and material losses caused by floods in southern Russia and a bus crash in the neighbouring Ukraine.

Floods caused by torrential rain in Krasnodar on July 7 killed at least 50 people and submerged hundreds of houses.

On the same day, at least 14 Russians were killed and tens of others injured in a bus crash on the Kiev-Chernigov route in Ukraine .

Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son yesterday made an entry in the mourning book at the Russian Embassy in Ha Noi. — VNS
