HA NOI — Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh paid a two-day official visit to Belgium this week at the invitation of Belgium's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Didier Reynders.
During his stay in Belgium, Minh met Crown Prince Philippe and chairman of the National Assembly, Andre Flahaut.
He also held talks with Deputy PM Reynders as well as meeting the governors of the Flanders and Wallonie regions and the French-speaking community of Wallonie-Bruxelles.
The two sides agreed to maintain exchanges of delegations at all levels and continue to work closely at international and multilateral forums, especially in the United Nations and within the frameworks of ASEM and ASEAN-EU.
They also agreed to boost co-operation between regions and localities and create favourable conditions for businesses to seek partners and explore investment opportunities, focusing on seaports, logistic services, transport, green technology, health care and education and training. — VNS
