HA NOI — A delegation from the Danish Parliament led by its President Mogens Lykketoft held a meeting yesterday with a delegation from various Committees of the Vietnamese National Assembly in Ha Noi.
Addressing the event, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for External Relations and leader of the Vietnamese delegation Tran Van Hang spoke highly of the Danish delegation's visit, saying that it would significantly contribute to strengthening friendship and co-operation between both countries, opening new prospects in mutual relations and inter-regional and international co-operation.
The two sides exchanged views on the structure and functions of each nation's legislative body while discussing issues of common concern. They reached consensus on sharing experience and finding measures to boost Viet Nam-EU relations as well as to fulfil socio-economic development targets and curb inflation in Viet Nam. — VNS
