He said Viet Nam was willing to co-operate with Qatar on oil, labour and agriculture and would support Qatar to set up a training and recruitment centre for Vietnamese labourers.
In addition, he said the Vietnamese Government was ready to co-operate with Qatar to establish a joint investment fund.
Hamad said Qatar would always create favourable conditions and stand by to receive workers from Viet Nam.
Also yesterday, the National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung received the Emir.
Hung welcomed the Emir's suggestion that co-operation be developed in fields that both nations were strong in.
He called on the two sides to tap into each country's competitive edge. For Quatar, this meant its strong financial ability, while for Viet Nam it meant the large pool of labour. — VNS
