Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) has just ended a year with many achievements and impressive figures. Notably, pre-tax profits of VND 608 billion mark a year-on-year growth of 204%, surpassing the yearly plan by 32%.

Other than completing the yearly plan in just 11 months, PNJ gained a lot impressive achievements in 20`6. Specifically, total revenues reached VND 8,720 billion, up 12% over 2015. Jewelry retail sales increased by 29% compared to 2015. This figure contributed to raising annual gross profits to about VND 1,373 billion, up by 21% year on year. Profit before tax was estimated at VND 608 billion, up 204% over 2015.

31 new centres

Alongside the above impressive achievements, PNJ has developed its network at a rapid pace, opening 31 new stores, raising the total to 220 in 40 provinces and cities across the country, continuing to affirm its leading position in Vietnam’s jewelry industry with strong and sustainable development of its distribution system.

Besides infrastructural investments, PNJ has been investing in training so that its staff and employees become more professional, especially consultants and retail workers, giving customers utmost satisfaction when shopping at PNJ outlets.

In line with the strong growth in business, 2016 was also a year when PNJ won many reputed awards, reinforcing its leading position and creating a strong momentum to control the Asian market. Award highlights included PNJ being honored as a National Brand for the fourth consecutive year (2010-2016); being ranked in the TOP 10 list of 100 Sustainable Development Enterprises in 2016; Top 100 Best Places To Work; Top 100 Strong Brands; Top 50 Vietnam Listed Companies; Top 50 Most Valuable Brands. In early April 2016, Cao Thi Ngoc Dung, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of PNJ was voted by Forbes Asia among Asia's 50 Most Powerful Businesswomen.

With a philosophy of sustainable development "Integrating customer benefits and social benefits into Enterprise benefits", PNJ engaged strongly in community activities with total contributions of approximately VND 6 billion in 2016.

In 2016, PNG gave 52 PNJ houses (VND 45 million/house) to poor families across the country, helping them stabilize their lives.


2016 was also chosen by PNJ as a Special Action Year on environmental issues, launching a nationwide “Thank you for not littering” programme.

Other social activities like awarding scholarships, contributing to the Fund for the Poor and organizing emergency relief trips to localities hit by flooding in Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Binh Dinh and Quang Ngai Provinces were also organized on a large scale, having a positive impact on communities in many localities.
