Việt Nam Television has launched a short filmmaking contest,“My Dream”, for Vietnamese youth aged 15-30.

 HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam Television has launched a short filmmaking contest,“My Dream”, for Vietnamese youth aged 15-30.

The contest, meant for young people passionate about filmmaking, will provide an opportunity to the youth to express their creativity.

The contest includes all genres of film, ranging from musical and comedy to horror and animation. The duration is 15 minutes. There are two eligibility criteria: the film should not have been produced earlier than 2017, and it should not have been aired on Việt Nam Television.

The winner, decided by judges, will receive a cash prize of VNĐ50 million (US$2,100). The best film, voted by the audience, will win a cash prize of VNĐ20 million ($870).

The panel of judges includes three prestigious directors – Đỗ Thanh Hải and Khải Anh, well-known for television films, and Vũ Ngọc Đãng, famous for theatrical films.

Other judges include actors Hoàng Dũng, Lý Thái Dũng, Việt Anh and Hứa Vĩ Văn, actress Nhã Phương and journalist Diễm Quỳnh.

The contest is open until July 14. — VNS
