Spotify comes to Viêt Nam

Spotify, the world’s leading music streaming subscription service, launched yesterday (March 13) in Việt Nam offering a music experience tuned to users’ personal taste.

HCM CITY — Spotify, the world’s leading music streaming subscription service, launched on March 13 in Việt Nam offering a music experience tuned to users’ personal taste.

Spotify offers both a free ad-supported service and an upgraded ad-free subscription service for only VNĐ59,000 (US$2.59) per month.

With a catalogue of over 35 million songs available to both, Spotify comes to Việt Nam offering both local and international music.

“We are incredibly excited to launch Spotify in Việt Nam with a revolutionary new music experience,” Sunita Kaur, Spotify’s managing director, Asia, said.

“Thanks to our huge music catalogue of over 35 million songs, truly personalised recommendations and the best playlists curated by music experts and fans, Spotify makes discovering the music you love easier than ever.”

Launched in 2008, Spotify had 159 million active users at the end of last year, including 71 million paying subscribers. Spotify is now available in 65 markets, including Việt Nam.
