We are immersed year-round in reporting on events, pollution, floods, business, conflicts, speeches, analysis, entertainment and so on, but we would like to pause to take this occasion, the anniversary of Viet Nam News, to send our special thanks to you, our readers, for your support throughout the last 25 years.

Viet Nam News

Dear readers,

We are immersed year-round in reporting on events, pollution, floods, business, conflicts, speeches, analysis, entertainment and so on, but we would like to pause to take this occasion, the anniversary of Viet Nam News, to send our special thanks to you, our readers, for your support throughout the last 25 years.

A young university graduate, who has just applied to become a reporter at Viet Nam News after working elsewhere, expressed her satisfaction after a month-long internship at the newspaper because she found the work here “meaningful”.

Indeed, our readers have always been the source of our inspiration, providing us encouragement and offering suggestions to make the paper even better.

We journalists want to thank you for helping us accomplish our mission of conveying the truth, promoting the good, the progressive and the beautiful, and also combating the bad. Without you, our work cannot be “meaningful”.

Society has been abuzz about the rapidly-changing media scene with the development of technology, social media and citizen journalism. But after all, it’s the human interactions that connect us all.

Generations of professional journalists like us, who find inspiration in serving the public, have been and always will be a key link in that connection.

Viet Nam News has evolved over the past 25 years, in line with the development of the country and its people, to promote Viet Nam to the world and help draw the world to Viet Nam.

Our mission will continue by all means, and not without your support.

Thank you all.
