KHANH HOA (VNS)— Border guards in Nha Trang yesterday accompanied five rescued Filipino fishermen to their embassy in Viet Nam.

The distressed fishermen were rescued by a trawler from central Phu Yen province when it was fishing in the waters of Truong Sa archipelago on December 26.

The Filipinos were provided with first aid, healthcare and accommodation during their stay in the province.

A representative from the Philippine Embassy thanked the province and the Vietnamese fishermen for their help and care to the Filipinos.
