DA NANG (VNS)— The centre for locating and disposing of bombs under the Ministry of National Defence neutralised a 340-kilo unexploded bomb two days ago.
Believed to be left over from the war, the bomb was found on December 9 in Hoa Quy Ward. It will be dissolved with other bombs at the end of this month.
According to colonel Truong Chi Lang from the local military headquarters, Da Nang City had cleared 2,558 areas contaminated with bombs and crackers in five of eight districts, opening more land for production. — VNS
