Fierce flood sweeps two away in Highlands

DAK NONG (VNS)— Flooding from prolonged heavy rains swept away two people in Dak Glong and Tuy Duc districts of Central Highlands Dak Nong Province, according to the the provincial Department of Flood Prevention and Control.

The flood, described by the fiercest in over a decade, swept away 14 temporary bridges and caused damage totalling hundreds of millions of dong.

Local authorities have allocated funds to support the affected families and set up new temporary bridges. — VNS
