The Dragonfly Theatre Company will stage Tony Award-wining comedy Lend Me Tenor by Ken Ludwig at the Soul Convention Complex next week.

Directed by Aaron Toronto, the play is about an opera company in 1934.

World well-known tenor Tito Merelli, who plays the main role in Othello, is believed to be dead after mixing wine with drugs before the performance. The opera manager persuades his assistant, an aspiring actor named Max, to pretend to be Merelli so the show can go on. But Merilli is still alive and the mistaken identity causes much laughter.

The play will be performed in English with Vietnamese subtitles.

The six performances will take place on December 24-26 and December 1-3. The venue is SOUL Convention Complex, 214-216 Pasteur Street in District 3.

Tickets from VNĐ300,000 can be purchased at www.ticketbox.vn. VNS
