HCMC to hear fall music

The Saigon Classical Music Group will host the “Autumn Melodies” concert at the HCM City Southern Women’s Museum on October 7.

The concert will include excerpts from the musical suite Le carnaval des animaux (The Carnival of the Animals) by French composer Camile Saint-Saens, the musical Notre-Dame de Paris by Italian composer Richard Cocciante, and Antiche danze ed Arie (Ancient Airs and Dance), a set of three orchestral suites by Italian composer Ottorino Respighi.

The performance will also present compositions by Tchaikovsky and Schubert, and two works from Vietnamese composers, Trở Về Đất Mẹ (Returning to the Motherland) by Nguyễn Văn Thương, and Người Đi Đâu (Where Do You Go) by Đỗ Hồng Quân.

Young musicians like harpist Nguyễn Đặng Bảo Trâm, flutist Phạm Thị Thu Thảo, violinist Lâm Hoài Bão, and pianist Thái Ngọc Thùy Trang will perform at the concert.
