The Jagabams will treat audiences to African rhythms and dancing at Hanoi Rock City on Friday night.

The Jagabams is a band comprising musicians from many African countries who have come together in Hà Nội. The band has already played a couple of gigs and received positive feedback from listeners.

At the show, the band will play a range of African music styles such as Afro, high life, makosa, and many others. African DJ Kabala will also take to the stage. The concert will take place from 7pm until 12am. Hanoi Rock City is at 27/52 Tô Ngọc Vân Street, Tây Hồ District. Tickets cost VNĐ50,000. — VNS

FVH Film Night presents wartime classic

On Thursday, June 22, the FVH (Friends of Vietnam Heritage) Film Night will present the black-and-white movie Bến Không Chồng (Wharf of Widows) by director Lưu Trọng Ninh, who also plays the film’s main character Nguyễn Vạn. Based on a well-known novel of the same title by author Dương Hướng, which was granted the Việt Nam Writers’ Association Award in 1991, the movie was a Berlin International Film Festival selection.
