HÀ NỘI — Work Room Four will host a workshop on pop up illustration featuring two Portuguese travelling artists, Nic and Inês on November 5.
The workshop is influenced by the simple and elegant works of Japanese graphic artist Katsumi Komagata.
The lesson will be divided into three parts: first, the class will look a sampling of the world’s most interesting and important pop-up books. Second, participants will experiment with cut and paste techniques, focussing on the mechanics of a pop-up.
In the end, each participant will end up with a self created book, with a three-dimensional illustration full of original shapes and images.
The free workshop will be held from 1pm to 4pm, and Nic and Inês also hold a talk at Work Room Four on November 3.
