Artist and designer Lartique will showcase his latest collection of wire art jewellery during a solo show starting from 5.30pm on Saturday at Module 7.
Inspired by the charm of Nature, the collection has been entitled Điệu (Coquettish).
“Nature herself is very charming. I always try my best to bring that charm into my creations,” said the artist.
Lartique is one of the first craftsmen in Việt Nam to develop wire art jewellery in the country. He began to work with metal fiber and wire in 2008 and gradually formed his own style while studying at the Hà Nội University of Industrial Fine Arts.
Lartique has created a trend of wire art jewellery during the period 2009-11, with a great number of young people, including many fashionistas, wearing his creations. In addition, many artists and craftsmen have taken up his wire art style.
In September, his wire art jewellery was presented at the Asian Designer Week in New Delhi.
The show will open at Module 7, 83 Xuân Diệu Street, until November 6 before moving to Lartique La Space within Hanoi Creative City, 1 Lương Yên Street, Hai Bà Trưng District. — VNS
