Lacquer painter showcases artworks created over past decade

Veteran painter Trịnh Tuân will showcase 30 of his large lacquer paintings at an exhibition that opens tomorrow at the Việt Art Space, 42 Yết Kiêu Street.

HÀ NỘI - Veteran painter Trịnh Tuân will showcase 30 of his large lacquer paintings at an exhibition slated to open tomorrow at the Việt Art Space, 42 Yết Kiêu Street.

Entitled Memories of Silence, the exhibition is to celebrate his 30-year journey in lacquer painting. The exhibition will present the works that Tuân has created over the past 10 years.  

Alongside painting, the 59-year-old artist also has a great passion for music and has composed music for several poems. His love for music is also expressed through his paintings.

A lecturer of the University of Industrial Fine Arts, Tuân is also head of the Asia Art Link – Việt Nam, a community connecting Vietnamese and other artists in ASEAN countries.

Memories of Silence will open from 5.30pm tomorrow and run until December 12.  VNS
