VTV Awards announce this year’s winners

Cả Một Đời Ân Óan (Life of Love and Feud), the Vietnam Television (VTV) produced film on social issues has surpassed four others candidates to win the VTV Award 2018 for impressive TV series.

HÀ NỘI  —  Cả Một Đời Ân Óan (Life of Love and Feud), the Vietnam Television (VTV) produced film on social issues has surpassed four others candidates to win the VTV Award 2018 for impressive TV series.

The film’s main actor and actress Hồng Đăng and Lan Phương have also won prizes for the impressive TV serial actor and actress.

The Việt Nam national U23 football team has been named Person of the Year for their impressive performances at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship in China in January and the Asian Games (ASIAD) 2018 in Indonesia.

A ceremony was held last Friday at VTV and broadcasted live to mark the awards.

At the ceremony, the Programme of the Year award was given to Táo quân (Kitchen God), an annual new-year TV comedy special by VTV.

Pop star Mỹ Tâm was honoured with the title Impressive Singer while Ngô Kiến Huy won the Impressive Emcee.

The documentary film by VTV, Hành Trình Bất Tận (Endless Journey) about the justice for Vietnamese Agent Orange victims, won the Impressive Documentary Film award.

Bản hòa tấu cha và con (Father and Son Ensemble), the programme about the ups and downs on the path towards happiness of actor Quốc Tuấn and his son with Apert Syndrome, was awarded Impressive Programme of Culture, Science and Education. 

The VTV Awards are held annually to honour remarkable programmes and figures who appeared on Việt Nam Television channels during the year.

The winners are determined by audience votes on the official website of the awards, www.antuong.vtv.vn, and the jury’s scores. — VNS
