Being one of the four biggest fishing ports in the central province of Hà Tĩnh, Cửa Nhượng Fishing Port is always busy with trading boats early in the morning.

The port comes alive at 4am, when fishing boats return to the dock. It is one of the province’s key seasfood suppliers.

It has been revived after an environment disaster in April 2016, when the Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation was charged with discharging toxic wastewater into the sea, which resulted in the mass death of aqua animals throughout the central region including off the coast of Hà Tĩnh, Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị and Thừa Thiên Huế provinces.— VNS
