QUẢNG NINH — It is often said the best way to someone’s heart is through their stomach.
And for three days in Hạ Long City, hearts will be jam packed with love thanks to the food filling bellies.
Adding to the variety of what the region has to offer, a three day festival for foodies opened Friday.
The Mon Asian Food Festival 2018 is being held in Hạ Long City showcasing not only the delights on offer in Việt Nam but neighbouring Asian countries.
This is a series of events to celebrate the Visit Việt Nam Year 2018 hosted by Quảng Ninh Province.
The festival features cooking, food talk along with music and dance from art troupes from Việt Nam and other Asian countries like Japan, Korea and Myanmar.
More than 100 booths featuring fine cuisine of different countries in the world are also displayed in the festival. Festival goers will have chance to see chef Steven Long, Dương Hải Anh and Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng cook dishes like duck sauted, Hạ Long oyster.
The festival ends on Sunday. — VNS
