HÀ NỘI — A new serial gathering the most beloved actors and actresses of the Vietnamese film industry will be broadcast tonight on the VTV1 channel.
Ngược Chiều Nước Mắt (Crying on the inside) has received a lot of support from the Việt Nam Film Studio Centre (VFC) in terms of cast, props and soundtracks, according to director Vũ Minh Trí.

Four songs and piano pieces have been written exclusively for the show, and are performed by singers Minh Vương and Si Giáng.
The series tackles sensitive issues such as adultery and single parenthood, but above all is a heartwarming story about love and family bonds.
“This is my first serial shot in 4K resolution,” Trí said. “It promises to bring audiences spectacular and beautiful motion pictures and a wonderful viewing experience.”

The all-star cast is the main draw for the 34-episode serial. It includes Mạnh Trường, Thu Quỳnh, Huyền Lizzie, Trang Cherry, Hà Việt Dũng, Excellent Artist Hoàng Hải and People’s Artist Lan Hương. They are famous for their roles in recent television blockbusters such as Sống Chung Với Mẹ Chồng (Living with Mother-in-law) and Zippo, Mù Tạt Và Em (Zippo, Mustard and You). —VNS
