HÀ NỘI — People will be able to get insight into late president Hồ Chí Minh’s road to revolution with the documentary film Ngọn đuốc thế kỷ (The Century Torch), to be aired by Việt Nam Television on September 2, Việt Nam’s Independence Day.

The century torch is a 50-minute documentary directed by Nguyễn Quốc Khánh and Tạ Quỳnh Tư from the Documentary Film Centre of Việt Nam Television. The film focuses on the timeless value of his Đường kách mệnh (Road to the revolution) book, which features lectures by Hồ Chí Minh in 1925-1927.

The film will reveal the past, giving viewers an opportunity to follow in the footstep of Hồ Chí Minh when he was a young patriot with a burning desire to find a way to liberate the nation.

“Our crew encountered several challenges especially in searching for material. We spent months collecting old documents and images, travelling to foreign countries when necessary," said Nguyễn.

This year also marks the 90th anniversary of the publication of the book. — VNS
