The HCM City Music Centre, in co-operation with its partners, will organise a special music and song programme on Saturday in the Bến Thành Theatre  to mark the 8th anniversary of Việt Nam Music Day.

HCM CITY — The HCM City Music Centre, in co-operation with its partners, will organise a special music and song programme on Saturday in the Bến Thành Theatre to mark the 8th anniversary of Việt Nam Music Day, September 3.  

The 120-minute programme, named Solidarity song, will feature dozens of young and veteran singers, dancers and music players from professional art troupes.  

There will also be performances in praise of the country, its history and traditional culture and lifestyle. 

Pop singers Phương Uyên, Nguyễn Phi Hùng, and girl bands Mặt Trời Mới, Mắt Ngọc and Lạc Việt will be featured.

The show will be followed by traditional dances by young artists from ABC and ABC Kids groups. It will also include talks by young composers of the Đà Nẵng City’s Music Association.

The show will open with a trumpet performance in front of the theatre.  

The programme will be staged at 7:30pm on September 1 in District 1’s 2,000-seat Bến Thành Theatre at 6 Mạc Định Chi Street. — VNS
