Artist/physicist talks oil painting history

Vietnamese physicist and painter Nguyễn Đình Đăng will lead a talk on “The Art of Oil Painting: Rise and Fall” at The Factory Contemporary Arts Centre on March 11.

Vietnamese physicist and painter Nguyễn Đình Đăng will lead a talk on “The Art of Oil Painting: Rise and Fall” at The Factory Contemporary Arts Centre on March 11.

Đăng, 59, is working in Japan at the Physics and Chemistry Institute (RIKEN).. He is a member of the Việt Nam Fine Arts Association and has had paintings exhibited in Việt Nam and Japan.

The talk will be presented in Vietnamese with translated English documents handed out.

The free event will be held from 4-6 pm at 15 Nguyễn Ư Dĩ Street in District 1.
