ĐÀ NẴNG — A performance to celebrate the lunar New Year will be staged on the east side of the Hàn River bank in the central city of Đà Nẵng on January 30 (the third day of the Lunar New Year).

A series of Vietnamese and international songs, along with dances, will be performed at night for local residents and tourists. Folk music and folk games will also be held and a Tuồng (classic drama) will be staged.

The city’s tourism department said more than 4,000 tourists had booked their vacation in the city during the lunar New Year festival.

A photo exhibition on Đà Nẵng City’s development has also been opened ahead of Tet, at the city’s Administrative Centre on 24 Trần Phú Street and will run till March.

An art exhibition depicting the 12 animal designations of the lunar calendar has opened at the city’s Art Museum at 78 Lê Duẩn street and will run till February 6th. The exhibition displays 64 paintings, canvases, wood carvings and sculpture by 43 city artists.  — VNS
